Bobbie Polizzi

Once completed, the photos are colorful, creative and definitely one-of-a kind. Bobbie will combine an antique window with a number of her "Altered Photos" to create a delightful piece of wall art.
Barbara Glassman
Barb started out in fiber design/weaving, now works mostly in clay – hand building – and does some graphic design work on the side. Her piece for this event is a ladies writing desk that she is transforming from a rickety, marred piece of furniture to a useable piece of art. Her inspiration for the painted design is “metamorphosis” and will incorporate the life cycle of a butterfly in honor of Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care where she volunteers.
Chris Barron
Master Faux Painter - For the frugal Design Showcase home, Chris is faux painting a piece of furniture. This fireplace is an example of faux painting that Chris Barron , owner of Sundance Interiors, is known for.
Kathy Skomsky
Mosaic artist Kathy Skmosky’s work ranges from funky home décor to the most serious of fine art pieces. For the Frugal Design Showcase Home Kathy’s finished piece will be a 20” x 36” decorative mirror (similar to the one pictured here) framed in a soft cream and ivory mosaic palette with surprise touches of artistic whimsy.
Chris Slusher
Christopher Slusher, designer with Portable Style, Inc., of Asheville, poses with “tea cup” curtains, lap dog-themed fabric yardage, and an old folding screen. He will create two folding screens and will collaborate with artist Steve Parker who is creating accessories to complement a “tea party”-themed setting
Steve Parker -
Steve Parker, interiors director with Urban – Suburban Design, Inc. of Asheville, poses with an “in-process” project that uses broken china and teacups to create mosaic topiaries. He will collaborate with artist Christopher Slusher to provide lamps and other accessories for a “tea party”-themed setting
Mona Groban
Mona Groban, owner of Mona! - her shop in Hendersonville - “Fabulizer of Found Objects”, is going to take a thrift store chandelier and give it her unique Mona touch. It will be much like this one with wild colors, over the top patterns and as always…her special dash of humor.
